Because I took a moment to speak

And you took a second to smile

A tiny part of me will leave with you

And a little bit of you will stay

I remember being a teacher's assistant/helper to Mrs. Montgomery. I was checking papers at her desk while she was teaching at the board. Suddenly Danny came up and planted a big kiss on my lips. He was paid $3 by either Todd Spress or Tony Smith (I think it was one of them!)

Danny had a wonderful spirit. He always seemed to be smiling. I can't help but miss him now, as we are all getting reacquainted, and wonder what he would be doing today.

Oh Danny, I remember sitting in the parking lot listening to you me, Greg and Wendy one of your silly jokes. Followed
by that classic Perillo grin! How I will miss that grin forever. The tragic news we got in 1st period the next day left us all in shock and unable to comprehend the shining light in our class ha just been snuffed out. They alway say the best die young, but I as one sure would have loved to see what a 43 year old Dan Perillo would be like. You were always the kindest in everyone of use, miss you.
